About the wine
Impressive McLaren Vale Shiraz from a superb vintage!
- This ex-Wirra Wirra chief winemaker has a big network of top grape growers, so he gets the best fruit for this premium wine! He's blended the grape 'parcels' together after the winemaking process to create the perfect McLaren Shiraz.
- Abundance is a juicy, flavoursome Shiraz and a true reflection of the Vale. It’s bursting with red fruit flavours and dark chocolate hints that love to hang around each mouthful.
- The 2019 vintage is exceptional - Ben thinks it’s one of the best in the last 20 years and he should know! Quality McLaren Vale Shiraz like this offers you so much bang for your buck.
Best before
This wine is ready when you are. It is good to drink young and fresh but if aging wines is your thing, this wine can easily be put away for five to seven years.
Serving advice
The 2019 Abundance Shiraz can be drank immediately after opening but if you have the time, letting it rest or decanting it 30 minutes prior to drinking will definitely be beneficial.
Food match
I would pair this wine with a nicely grilled steak or have with a hearty lamb stew. For the vegetarian and vegan Angels out there, i would suggest trying it with a tasty eggplant parmigiana or roast potatoes.

Meet the winemaker - Ben Riggs
- Ben’s a McLaren Vale legend! Over his illustrious 47-vintage career, he’s won more trophies and medals than you can shake a stick at. His knowledge of the vineyards and grapes of the region is second to none.
- He’s been taught the ropes by serious wine legends like Murray Tyrrel and Brian Croser. They took him under their wings and shared significant vino know-how that Ben puts to use to this day in making his magnificent wines.
- Once the Chief Winemaker at the iconic Wirra Wirra winery in McLaren Vale, Ben scratched the itch to break out and make his own wine. Today, he owns a Halliday 5-star winery and in June 2020 became our 57th Naked winemaker!
