Ashley Horner Little Jack Organic Cowra Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
About the wine
Organic & juicy!
- This particular Little Jack will delight any red lover with aromas of blueberries, black cherry and oak layers. Your tastebuds will enjoy flavours of forest fruit and spicy plum, all supported by a firm tannin structure.
- Two organically grown vineyards have been the source of this wonderful wine, one 900m above sea level in the Orange wine region and the other in the Central Ranges wine region of Cowra. This allowed Ash to combine classic cool climate Cabernet characters with the warmer Cabernet characters. So, you can thank Orange for the structured body and Cowra for the juicy, rich mid-palate!
- Ash has brought his Angels a gorgeous red wine ready to pair with the most supple and flavoursome of bbq lunches or dinners. It's an easy drinking, high quality and fully certified organic drop that punches well above it's price point. Once again, amazing value for the Angels who helped create it!
Best before
Enjoy now or until 2020.
Serving advice
Decanting will help mellow the tannins and serving just slightly chilled 15-16°C won't hurt!

Braised red wine and rosemary lamb shanks with baked potatoes. Yum!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Ashley Horner
- Born and bred in the Upper Hunter Valley, Ash worked in local vineyards while helping to establish his Family Vineyard.
- He's one of the most passionate people we've ever met! When asked what he loved most about his job, his answer was "Everything! I love the action during vintage and the progression of grapes becoming a bottle to enjoy. I love the diversity and the abstract thinking you can put into creating a wine product. I also love the diversity of the people that work in the industry and how winemaking makes me feel complete in my life".
- What's the difference between Ash and the rest? His grapes are from organic vineyards and are made using fully certified organic practices!
