About the wine
A rich, classy one-off red from marvellous Margaret River
- Sourced from select vineyard sites in the classic Margaret River area of Wilyabrup where you'll find some of the first Margaret River vineyards. This juicy red has sat maturing in Fresh oak barrels for 2 years before being skillfully blended.
- You’ll smell red and blue berries, plums and hints of cassis in the glass, mingled with cedary notes from the oak, and a whiff of chocolate. In the mouth, you’ll get mulberries, plums, blackberries, all wrapped in soft tannins. What a treat!
- This wine is made for Angels as a special one off. When it’s gone, it’s gone… Buy a few bottles, and hide some of them in the cellar - they’ll keep for another for 15+ years.
Best before
While this wine is a great drink now, especially due to the soft richness of the Merlot, it will age gracefully for at least 15 years. It is worth the effort.
Serving advice
Open this wine about 2 hours prior to drinking it. If possible, also decant it. This bit of air and patience, really allows the wines aromatics to lift, and the palate to come together. Its not easy being jammed away in a bottle for a few years, so it takes a little time to relax and show your best once you are allowed out.
Food match

Meet the winemaker - Stuart Pym
Stuart’s winemaking career is the stuff of legend. First bitten by the bug at his parents' little winery in Margaret River, he went on to make wines in the Yarra Valley, Geelong and Bordeaux, and study in Tuscany, Piedmonte, Burgundy, the Loire, Rioja and Priorat. So you could say he has a fair bit of experience!
He's been crafting wine in Margaret River for over 30 years now and helped put iconic wineries like Voyager Estate, Devils Lair, Stella Bella and Flowstone firmly on the map. There's nothing he loves more than growing grapes and making wine. And he's very good at it.
With the support of Naked Angels, Stuart has rediscovered his passion for hands-on production. His label, 'Hearts and Bones' tells a story of Margaret River and celebrates the Naked Angels that paved the way for him to make wine just the way he likes it.
