About the wine
Pale and interesting!
- Fancy trying something a bit different? The first new Kollectiv wine for 18 months is a dry, savoury rosé made from Nebbiolo grapes. You don’t see that much in Australia, so this is a real treat!
- It’s pale in colour but certainly not lacking in flavour. Expect typical Nebbiolo characters of rosehip and cherry, and a touch of earthiness. A bit of old oak barrel action has worked its magic, giving the wine a lovely texture on the tongue.
- There is not a lot of it to go round so grab it while you can. It's great value, it's different, and the quality is just what you’d expect from this award-winning winemaker!
Best before
All rose should be drunk young and fresh
Serving advice
Don't over chill it. Many people take wine straight out of the fridge and drink it - 4oC is a bit too cold to enjoy the range of flavours, especially any wine that has had barrel fermentation and maturation. Drink it cool but not cold.
Food match
This is an incredibly versatile wine - what won't go with it? Salads, seafood, meats, curries - it's the ultimate crowd pleaser. For me, despite being an Italian variety, it is fantastic with Paella.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Drew Tuckwell
- Drew Tuckwell’s Kollectiv is just that. A collective effort by the winemaker, the grape growers of the Orange region, barrel makers, the cellar staff, the Naked Wines Team and you, Naked Angels. Without this collective effort, these wines would not exist.
- For nearly 20 years Drew has been handcrafting regionally and site-specific wines of character from the high-elevation, cool climate region of Orange. This is an area where wines can command up to $150 a bottle!
- The last 15 years alone has seen Drew rack up over 50 National and International Wine Show Trophy Awards while working his day job at one of the most celebrated wineries in the super-premium, super-cool Orange region.
