- This wine will welcome you to the wonderful world of the Hoopers and their gorgeous Limestone Coast location. Purity and sustainability are the main focus of Anna and Derek's approach to each vintage, especially with this focus on the sub- region Wrattonbully grapes. Anna and Des always make the most of their climatic conditions and use minimal intervention in their winemaking process, letting Mother Nature do her wondrous thing.
- Naturally low yielding Chardonnay vines have produced a stunning flavour profile, providing the essential basis for the Hoopers to build upon and create a delicious white wine that you'll be coming back to again and again. The cool maritime region lends itself to abundant ripe apricot and floral notes that will leap from your glass.
- Prepare your palate for a hint of oak, complimenting a luscious and viscous mouth feel. Floral and apricot layers will mingle with the touch of spice & send your tastebuds into a spin! You'll enjoy a great mouthfeel and terrific length of finish. Meet the winemaker - Derek Hooper
Hooper & Co’s wines echo the pristine land they come from, the local community and pushing wine boundaries (Derek’s speciality!)
Derek’s son, Harry, splits his time between winemaking and brewing. Daughter Grace is already elbow deep in grape juice, and Daisy is a marketing specialist in the industry.
From father Kym’s first vineyard back in 1992, through Derek, to his fresh-faced, eager charges, they are one of the new families of wine. And they’re out to stir up your palate with fantastic drops with sustainability at their core.
