Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
A premium Pinot Noir from a master
A ruby red gem of a wine from widely acclaimed Pinot Noir maestro Phillip Moraghan. He recently built up a Halliday 5-star winery in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria!
Loaded with red cherries and plums, this elegant red has had the pleasure of time in a combination of freshly toasted and year-old French oak barrels. It’s truly mouth-watering, with a long finish.
Phillip’s secret sauce is that fresh toastiness from having the barrels coopered and toasted in Australia instead of France. It starts working its magic on the wine right away, not after weeks at sea!
Best before
While quite approachable/easy drinking now, this Pinot Noir has the structure to last for many years. While one would say that optimum drinking would be in 5-6 to 8+ years when secondary characters are more evolved, I also think that every year of the wine is different and wonderful, and to be enjoyed.
Serving advice
People speak of "room temperature" but what does that mean? It varies with time of year, location, environment and more. Ideally, this Pinot Noir should be served around 12°C maximum, so don't hesitate to put it in the refrigerator for a short while. Decanting this Pinot, particularly if drinking it as a young wine, will ensure that the wine will show more of itself.
Food match
Thinly sliced medium rare roast beef with wasabi. Pate. Eel sushi. Orange duck from Luv a Duck. Chinese roast duck and roast pork. Pinot Noir is a versatile wine that can match with light and heavier foods, salads, fish and meats.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Phillip Moraghan
Phillip left his corporate life to travel the world, working with world-class winemakers to learn how to make the best Pinot Noir he possibly could.
For 18 years, he lovingly tended his grapes, crafted stunning wines and built up a Halliday 5-star winery, making arguably one of the country's finest Pinot Noir wines.
When he found himself having to start from the ground up again, he sourced premium fruit from one of the best vineyards in the Yarra Valley, borrowed Sam Plunkett’s sheds, and is crafting his exquisite Pinot Noir once again. But only for us!
