About the wine
Velvet Texture
- Last vintage was a roaring success with a HUGE 93% positive rating. Each sip is full bodied, velvety and just delicious!
- The small berries and thick skins of Cabernet contribute it's hallmark high intensity grippy tannins. The Merlot has thinner skin, so less tannin and when blended with Cabernet gives the wine a lovely texture and lifts some of the spicy fruit cake aromas.
- The wine is well balanced; not one to over-power, yet the scrumptious layers will linger nicely after each slurp! The perfect mid-week dinner wine & one of Naked's hallmark must-tries, at under $9 for Angels why not try a few?

Meet the winemaker - Sam Plunkett
- Winemaking legend Sam sources grapes from the family vineyard in the Strathbogie ranges of Central Victoria. Winemakers don't come much more in love with their job than him - he'd "happily spend everyday around tanks, barrels, stainless steel toys and wine".
He’s had a meteoric rise from self-taught winemaker to a multi award-winner and even has his own cellar door now! His winery was recently recognised as one of the Top 10 Dark Horse wineries in James Halliday's 2021 Awards.
