About the wine
World renowned region at a steal!
- Bill & Claudia have done it again, showing off all the wonderment the Marlborough has to offer. This wine combines grapes from two of the area's most renowned and downright delicious sub-regions, the Aware and Wairu Valleys.
- Cool fermenting helped retain the Marlborough's hallmark vibrant aromas and flavours, plus three months maturing on lees to enhance it's drinkability. Citrus and melon aromas leap from the glass before the crips and dry palate delights with lively fruit layers. This baby is sunshine in a bottle!
- The last vintage scored a whopping 90% buy-again rating from our beloved Angels, which is pretty tough to argue with! Of course, the fact that Angels can get this quality Marlborough drop at an unbelievably low price is another reason why it's hard to ignore. Don't fight it, go wild and lap up this summery wine!

Meet the winemaker - Bill & Claudia Small
Bill (the winemaker) and Claudia (the viticulturist) embody the down-to-earth family spirit that has driven Naked from the word go. After travelling and making wines around the world for others, getting Naked meant the intrepid couple could finally make their own wine.
They love nothing more than creating the wines they want to make — without the compromise of working for a big corporation or the struggle of being too small. And that includes introducing Angels to the joys of Marlborough wine. Truthful and fun feedback from Angels is a huge thrill for the pair and allows them to tailor each vintage and explore new gems along the way.
The Small's passionate work ethic combined with Angel backing allowed the pair to become their own bosses. Strong relationships with growers of the best local fruit ensures consistently excellent drops, and in 2018 they realised their dream to buy their own vineyard.
