Cape Bernier Tasmanian Chardonnay 2019
About the wine
Pristine Chardonnay dripping with class
Andrew and Jenny Sinclair’s Tassie Chardonnay is grown on the rich soils of an ancient volcanic range with the vineyard tempered by powerful sea breezes. A long, cool growing season allowed the rich flavours in this crisp white to develop with brilliant natural acidity!
Hand picked and handcrafted, you’ll detect delicate fruit characters of green apple with a hint of peach, honey and citrus fruit shining through.
The last two vintages of this cool-climate drop were a sell out. With only tiny quantities of this premium wine in existence, it won’t be around for long!
Best before
This wine will mostly get drunk quickly but should you hang on to it if stored in the right conditions (<15C) the high levels of acidity should mean you could get 10 years out of it. It will change colour going a deeper yellow but should come out well.
Serving advice
Enjoy the delicious nose and don't drink it too cold
Food match
Fresh oysters from Blackman Bay (5 mins down the road) and aged Billy goat cheese from Tongola (just over the hill from us)
Contains sulphites
