Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Limited Release Californian Zinfandel by an Aussie legend
- This very limited, 100% estate wine comes courtesy of one of our top winemakers. Ex-Grange wizard Daryl is now making stunning wines from some of the best regions in the US where he lives for part of the year.
- Since Angels have loved Daryl’s Barossa reds, we wanted to show you what he’s made over there. You will not be disappointed! The grapes for this classic drop hail from the Dry Creek region of Sonoma County, where the Zinfandels are deep and full-bodied.
- Pour a glass to release its warmth and almost sweetness on the tongue - that’s typical of the grape and region. All that’s left to do now is enjoy its spice, cocoa, coconut, dark fruits and earth characters with something hearty and delicious!
Best before
Honestly I like to drink this best now with its youthful fruitiness but it will cellar well for 10 years.
Serving advice
Can drink straight from bottle after opening although many Angls appear to like giving the wines a little air.
Food match
BBQ! Especially smoked ribs. Pizza!
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Daryl Groom
- Meet Daryl.... He has been a winemaker for 35 years... with some of his wines even served at the Oscars and Emmys two years in a row!
- Working as the senior white and red winemaker at Penfolds, his 1986 Penfolds Grange was arguably one of the top 3 Granges ever made - 98 points from Wine Spectator and Robert Parker.
- Daryl LOVES making (and drinking) Shiraz... It's silky, sexy and simply delicious he says and the greatest value of all red wines.
