About the wine
Chardonnay with a big-barrel difference
You’re going to love Drew’s pristine fruit-driven Chardonnay from the beautiful cool-climate region of Orange, NSW. This single-vineyard masterpiece is crafted from fruit grown on 20 year old vines - it’s sure to hit the spot!
It's time with its grape solids in a massive 3,000 litre French oak barrel has given this wine such unique complexity - freshness, intense fruit profiles and great acid balance.
You’ll be enchanted by its dark citrus, lemon and savoury notes floating on a touch of lit matchstick. This incredible Chardonnay was made in tiny amounts so don't miss out on your chance to snaffle a few bottles. You can grab a 6-pack too here.
Best before
This wine will be delicious on release but the 2017 is still fresh as a daisy, so you could give it a decade or more - very unusual for Australian chardonnay.
Serving advice
Don't over chill it - just a slight chill so it's not warm. Decant it if you like. Don't drink it too fast, let it open up in the glass and show its complexity.
Food match
Local free range chicken, roasted with lemon, garlic and rosemary. But this wine is very versatile and will complement salads, seafood, white meats of all descriptions and soft white cheeses.

Meet the winemaker - Drew Tuckwell
- Drew Tuckwell’s Kollectiv is just that. A collective effort by the winemaker, the grape growers of the Orange region, barrel makers, the cellar staff, the Naked Wines Team and you, Naked Angels. Without this collective effort, these wines would not exist.
- For nearly 20 years Drew has been handcrafting regionally and site-specific wines of character from the high-elevation, cool climate region of Orange. This is an area where wines can command up to $150 a bottle!
- The last 15 years alone has seen Drew rack up over 50 National and International Wine Show Trophy Awards while working his day job at one of the most celebrated wineries in the super-premium, super-cool Orange region.
