About the wine
Sweet, light delight!
- Sam continues his champion run with the return of his gorgeous Traminer Riesling. Off-dry on the palate, yet still miles off the residual sugar found in fortified wines, you can expect a somewhat sweet experience with this lovely drop!
- Aromas of lovely lychee and orange blossom mixed with an exotic spice note will keep you keen for just another sip. These grapes came from nearly 30 old vines, producing intensely flavoured small parcels of quality fruit. Blending in some Riesling helps give the wine it's refreshing crisp finish.
- Trivia? All over it: Traminer is short for the Gewurztraminer grape varietal, and this German word translates to the spice of Tramin - a town in Italy. While we're on Europe, Alsace in France is the most famous place for growing and making Gewurz', cool climate just like Sam's Strathbogie Ranges!

Meet the winemaker - Sam Plunkett
- Winemaking legend Sam sources grapes from the family vineyard in the Strathbogie ranges of Central Victoria. Winemakers don't come much more in love with their job than him - he'd "happily spend everyday around tanks, barrels, stainless steel toys and wine".
He’s had a meteoric rise from self-taught winemaker to a multi award-winner and even has his own cellar door now! His winery was recently recognised as one of the Top 10 Dark Horse wineries in James Halliday's 2021 Awards.
The backing of thousands of Naked Angels has helped pave the way for Sam to continue making the great wine he loves, exclusively for you!
