About the wine
Rich, ripe 'n' juicy Shiraz
- This gorgeous red from Ben will knock any previous ideas you had about West Australian Shiraz out of the park! Kind vintage conditions and some serious thought behind the treatment of his fruit parcels has led to a drop with mouth watering aromas and attractive crimson hues.
- A berry driven wonder, the palate is balanced and approachable. It's the perfect dry Shiraz for those avoiding overpowering reds. Instead, the fruit flavours come together like a song, in harmony with oak layers and an enduring finish.
- With 20 years of winemaking know-how poured into every element of the winemaking process, there's no doubt Ben has nailed his Shiraz once again. The biggest win for Angels this time around? 3 years of ageing already in the bottle! Layers have started to evolve and the oak will be more prominent. Best to stock up with a few and compare this wine as it develops from year to year, right?

Meet the winemaker - Ben Rector
- Ben Rector is out to show the potential of the lesser known vineyards of WA. With more than 20 years experience across some of Australia's premier winemaking regions, he knows exactly what to look for in grape quality, no matter the climate. In 2019, he was awarded the Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot trophies at the regional wine show.
- The Pemberton and Geographe regions of South West WA are Ben's main focus. His aged release reds have all sold out in record time, and his flair for Chardonnay is undeniable.
- Ben takes great pride in his artistic licence, always ensuring that his wines go above and beyond. Angel feedback is gold dust, and the support he has received has allowed Ben to increase his output astronomically. All this in five short Naked years...what will he do next?!
