Liz's story
Coming from a wheat and sheep property in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, Liz wanted to do something agriculture related and fell in to studying for a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Viticulture & Oenology.
Liz has been a qualified winemaker since 2004. Liz's first vintage was at West Cape Howe in Denmark, WA. Followed by vintages at Yarraman Estate in the Hunter Valley, Domaine Chandon in the Yarra Valley and Tasmania's Pipers Brook.
Liz loves Italian varietals. After spending a year studying for her Masters in Italy, Liz fell in love with the lifestyle and the wines. Italian varietals are so food friendly, they pair perfectly with food and are what Liz considers "lifestyle wines".
During her time in Italy, Liz did her thesis at Cantina Ca'Viola with Beppe CaViola - one of the countries greatest winemakers. Liz then travelled from Piemonte to Abruzzo, Lazio, Sicily and Sardinia making wine and assessing vineyards.
Liz makes wines with attention to detail, passion and commitment, whilst aiming to find the best fruit from the best vineyards.
Liz loves the balance of art and science, being able to transform something from an agricultural crop to a product that people enjoy together and celebrate with & she cannot wait to share it with all of you, our angels and customers.
