About the wine
A unique, rare and zippy white
- Originally from the South of France, this crisp Aussie-grown white calls the Central Ranges of NSW home. It comes from one of only two known vineyards of Picpoul in Australia, and the only organic one, on the River banks of the Belubula River.
- It's delightfully aromatic wine with a zip in its step. A wildflower, citrus and vanilla scent becomes a fresh lemon and lime tang when you sip, backed by a slightly creamy texture. The previous release won a GOLD medal at the 2021 Australian Organic Wine Awards!
- Ash has created a rare drinking experience, perfect for anyone who appreciates a crisp, dry white wine to enjoy both by itself or with food. But he’s only made a tiny amount, so if you’re curious, grab one now!
Best before
Drinking well young but will age due to its naturally high acidity, I am thinking it will age like a semillon and go to those toasty, honey characters as it evolves.
Serving advice
Serve chilled but not to cold, the flavours will evolve as it warms in the glass.
Food match
Raw oysters
Chilli crab
Fresh prawns
Avocado and Shrimps or prawns with cocktail sauce
Barbecued Grilled fish
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Ashley Horner
- Born and bred in the Upper Hunter Valley, Ash worked in local vineyards while helping to establish his Family Vineyard.
- He's one of the most passionate people we've ever met! When asked what he loved most about his job, his answer was "Everything! I love the action during vintage and the progression of grapes becoming a bottle to enjoy. I love the diversity and the abstract thinking you can put into creating a wine product. I also love the diversity of the people that work in the industry and how winemaking makes me feel complete in my life".
- What's the difference between Ash and the rest? His grapes are from organic vineyards and are made using fully certified organic practices!
