About the wine
Single vineyard medium-bodied red
Made from a single vineyard block of 40-year-old vines in the heart of McLaren Vale. The grapes were harvested in two batches, six days apart, to create a wine that oozes both freshness and complexity.
After fermenting the parcels separately and expertly blending the two, this gorgeous ruby drop napped in French oak barrels for four months. The result is a wine that's packed with strawberry and ripe cherry flavours, a twist of spice and a glidingly smooth finish.
Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or just looking for a delicious new red to try, this medium-bodied minx is the perfect excuse to break out the good glasses and share a few tales.
Best before
This wine drinks really well in its youth, but can also be cellared for up to 8 years to develop more earthy notes to complement the primary fruit characters.
Serving advice
Open, let it breathe for a minute and enjoy!
Food match
Pinot Noir is always a great match with duck dishes, but we also love this wine with aged cheeses, olives and prosciutto.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Bec Hardy
Bec Hardy’s family tree reads like the Who’s Who of South Australian winemaking. Her great-great-great grandfather, Thomas Hardy, made his first wine in South Australia in 1857, kick-starting the state’s wine industry.
Like all the best ‘wine kids’, Bec grew up on the family property, helping out anywhere they’d let her, from training vines to cleaning tanks. But it was her green fingers that steered her down the vine-covered path to success.
Bec’s wines capture the essence of her stunning Tipsy Hill vineyard in Blewitt Springs and the places her forefathers toiled to establish South Australia’s wine industry.
