Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Impressive Aussie version of this Northern Italian classic
- This wine was proudly selected as a Finalist for 2024 Wine of the Year.
- Made from sustainably farmed Moscato Giallo grapes from Northern Heathcote’s Mt Camel range, this wine is full of personality straight from the vine and fermented using just the wild yeast on the grapes.
- You’ll find this tempting tipple a little drier and a touch more fizzy than Bart’s Bloem Moscato. Ginger, elderflower and spring flowers herald the arrival of a sip that feels fresh and dry at first, and then the sweetness builds as the lively fizz tickles your tongue. Try it with a fruity dessert for a real treat.
- Bart’s gone all out to make a truly impressive Aussie version of this Northern Italian varietal. Worth anything up to double the price in a bottle shop, you get it exclusively and for much less!
Best before
Youd be hard pressed leaving this one alone for too long, but given the bright acidity, added texture and bubbles, it should age well up to 3 years, maybe more.
Serving advice
As always, use nice stemware, youll be surprised how quality glasses can elevate a wine, straight out of the bottom of the fridge which is always the colder part of the fridge, and pour slowly into the glass allowing those bubbles to activate.
Food match
Think of sweet flesh seafoods, lobster rolls, crab vol-au-vent or even gougères and caviar if youre feeling decadent. Its also a perfect way to finish off a dinner party at the end of the night, might even get the after party going
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Bart Van Olphen
- Bart van Olphen’s wine journey is totally unique. Born and raised among the windmills and tulips of his native Holland, he learned his winemaking craft in Germany’s Pfalz region, honed it in the USA, handmade mighty reds alongside the legend that is Steve Pannell for eight years in McLaren Vale before settling in Victoria.
- Bart is married to Kim Chalmers of the famed Chalmers vineyards and it’s from these excellent family-grown grapes that he sources the most delectable, pristine fruit to power his Angel-exclusive B.V.O range of deliciousness!
- Bart is very much a minimal interventionist winemaker: grow the best fruit, let it talk and stay hands off as much as possible. And with the huge array of Chalmers grapes available to choose from Bart is like a kid in a candy store!
