Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
The quintessential Barossa Shiraz!
-
This generous Shiraz is a celebration of the Barossa Valley - its vineyards, its grape growers and its remarkable wines - by two Barossa Legends.
-
The impressive single vineyard fruit gives this wine its distinctive inky black colour and intensly fruity flavour. Take a sip and enjoy lingering flavours of fleshy blackberry, blueberry and blood-plum, with a hint of chocolate, anise and black olive.
-
Quite simply, a single vineyard Shiraz with serious viticultural and winemaking pedigree at a cracker price.
Best before
The structure and balance of this wine will reward medium term careful cellaring. But it depends on what you like. Drink it young for those bright, juicy Barossa Shiraz flavours, or tuck some away for more developed, complex characters.
Serving advice
While not essential to this wineÂ’s enjoyment, allowing it to breathe for 30 minutes before drinking will more fully express its natural character. Serve at room temperature, or in warm weather allow to chill for 20-30 minutes in the fridge.
Food match
This Shiraz is crying out for juicy chargrilled steak or succulent lamb cutlets. Or try it meat-free with barbecued field mushrooms, roasted capsicums or gnocchi with black olive tapenade.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Nigel Dolan & Caroline Dunn
- We’ve rolled out the red carpet…Angels are now in the presence of Aussie wine royalty! Caroline Dunn and Nigel Dolan have joined forces to bring you a combined 60 years of jaw-dropping, award-winning experience in their exclusive Dolan & Dunn range. You better get your skates on - these wines are going to fly!
- Caroline was the first female winemaker ever to win the coveted, and world famous, Jimmy Watson Trophy - the most prestigious and sought after wine award in Australia while she was paving the way for Wolf Blass. She is arguably the most awarded female winemaker in Australia.
- Caroline is joined by long time friend and wine-genius-superstar, Nigel Dolan. There is probably not a red wine Trophy in major Australian shows that Nigel’s wines have not won at least once, including the mighty Stodart Trophy three times, the Jimmy Watson Trophy twice, in addition to being named South Australian Winemaker of the Year, Barossa Winemaker of the Year and Winestate Australian Winemaker of the Year.
