About the wine
Italian inspired Langhorne Creek white
- Fiano is a white Italian variety that likely has its origins in ancient Roman viticulture, or perhaps even Greek! This wine is a single vineyard Fiano from high quality Langhorne Creek vines.
- Pale straw coloured, you’re in for a glassful of honeydew melon, spice, orange peel and hazelnut flavours and scents. There’s a delicate floral vibe and a little acidity, making it a fantastic food wine.
- A single vineyard premium Fiano from an award-winning winemaker at this Angel price is superb value. Pop a few in your next order and savour a slice of sunshine!
Best before
3-5 years in suitable cellaring conditions - for the development of complexity amd further texture
Serving advice
Serve chilled, but enjoy the aromatics and flavour change/intensity and texture as the wine warms from a fridge temp of 4C up to 7-8C
Many whites are consumed too cold and they lack texture and flavour with pronounced acid when too chilled
Food match
Fiano wine is very versatile - it works well with both slightly acidic (e.g., tomato-based) and with savory (e.g. cheese, butter) dishes. In Italy it commonly is used with fish and shellfish, but it also goes well with chicken, pork, and veal with any sauces that are not strongly citrusy.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Geoff Thompson
The first winemaker in his family, Geoff got to grips with grapes in 2002 and left a promising career in photographic science to do something he was passionate about. Hard work and enviable talent saw him work his way up the wine-stained ladder to Senior Winemaker at the Tahbilk Group in Victoria, in charge of more than a million cases a year!
Building a reputation as a master blender, Geoff won a ton of gold medals and trophies for his wines - and developed an itch to branch out on his own, back in his McLaren Vale homeland. Angels helped him scratch it in 2013 when a phone call in a car park kicked off his dream to create wines under his own label for them!
With his winemaking wizardry and access to some of the best grapes in the country, Geoff has been wowing Angels with his sensational South Australian wines ever since. He’s caught the eye of the critics too. In 2022, his winery was awarded 4.5 stars in the iconic Halliday wine companion.
