Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Premium aged Coonawarra Cabernet that oozes class
- A classic example of what Coonawarra does best, with no expense spared on oak and time in the cellar. Already with a bit of age, this will happily go on for another 20 years. This level of quality and expertise would normally retail for around $60, so you're getting a great deal!
- The grapes come from Luke’s 60-year-old vineyard and an outstanding vintage for grape quality. A local weather phenomenon called the Bonnie Upwelling brings cool nights, and it is this perfect climate, combined with the famous Terra Rossa soils, that makes for world class Cabernet Sauvignon.
- Matured for two years in new and used French & American oak barrels, this wine smells of blackberry with subtle spices and a touch of mint and cedar. Bold and complex with plum and dark berry fruits as you sip, its elegant tannins draw you into a long finish. Ahhh...
Best before
Hold on to it as long as you are willing. 20 + years would be a good start. I like to drink premium Coonawarra Cab about the 10 year mark, but if you like them aged then hang on to it
Serving advice
Give it some time to breathe after openeing. Its been in bottle and oak a long time so will need to open up.
Food match
A nice steak or rack of lamb is always a winner with Cabernet
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Luke Tocaciu
Born and raised in Coonawarra, SA, Luke makes sensational wines that shout of his 'terra rossa' region, injecting his own vision and personality along the way. He's won numerous awards including 7 trophies, dozens of phenomenal Halliday ratings and a place in the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine.
As a kid, he earned his pocket money helping out in the family vineyards. It wasn’t long before he was bitten by the wine bug, and a degree plus vintages in South Australia and Sonoma (USA) soon followed. Ready to make his mark, he returned to the family business to develop drops alongside his Dad, local legend Patrick.
But in 2013, Patrick suddenly passed away, leaving the family bereaved and the winery without its chief winemaker and CEO. Not even 30 yet, Luke had to shoulder a ton of extra responsibility if the business was to continue. So Angels stepped in and gave Luke the assurance to continue his family legacy and keep making the wine he loves - which he does to this day.
