Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Classic Naked Wines most premium drop ever - from a regional master
Josh Pfeiffer’s Tread Lightly Barossa Shiraz is the absolute top of the range. At $80 a bottle, it’s also our most expensive wine - but with good reason. Despite its price tag, it still represents incredible value for such a premium Barossa classic.
With the ability to age for over 10 years, this supreme wine can be tucked away, but is also perfect to be enjoyed now. It has the profile you’d appreciate from the classic region, matured primarily in French and American oak.
Prepare your own senses for a feast of juicy black and blue fruits, with delectable hints of spice and smokey oak. This deep, red gem is bold in flavour but soft and smooth on the tongue. It’s a regal, iconic wine that’s been made to enjoy.
Best before
Being from such old vines, this wine has the potential to age beautifully for 20+ years. Being under screw cap means there is no chance of cork taint or random oxidation, so you can put them down to rest with confidence that they will develop at a rate that you would expect.
Ideal cellar temperature is around 16 degrees Celsius for red wine, but the key is to avoid fluctuations in temperature and keep it away from light.
Serving advice
If you are drinking this wine within the next 5 years, I would suggest decanting it for at least 30 minutes prior to drinking. If you plan on drinking the bottle over several days, simply decant the amount that you think you will drink that evening and keep the rest in the bottle.
Food match
This is a rich and powerful wine, which in general, means you need to pair it with rich and powerful food. Red meat is what springs to mind first, but even rich pasta dishes that feature things like mushroom and truffle will work. You can't go past your favourite cut of steak cooked to perfection though, in my opinion!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Josh Pfeiffer
- When the pandemic left Josh’s family wines in need of new homes, Angels came to the rescue and scooped them up. His brush with Naked freedom was enough to make him want to stay, and it was a special day when Angels welcomed him to the family for good!
- Josh is a talented winemaker with four generations of Barossa grape-growers blood flowing through his veins. He’s taking a fresh approach to traditional wines, backed by barrels of passion and industry know-how from iconic wineries.
- From growing up on a Penfolds vineyard to working at Henschke and helping put his family winery on the map, it’s no surprise he landed a spot on the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine list - three years in a row. What a rockstar!
