About the wine
Elegant yet powerful premium Victorian red
- Seduction in a glass… a magic blend of grapes from three very different vineyards in both cool and warm climates. Hand-picked, lovingly crafted and left to rest in French oak barrels for 10 months.
- This elegant drop was made in their usual minimal intervention style of winemaking to let the fruit really shine through. Think violets, spice, summer red berries and black forest cake with silky tannins and long a rich plum finish.
- This is a rare gem - Nina and Kate don’t make a Reserve unless the wine really warrants it. A “Pair-fect” step up from their Two Pairs Shiraz for a special occasion or for that personal treat.
Best before
Our style is to always make wines that are approachable from release, so you can enjoy your wines there and then without fear of it being too tight and overpowering. However with the patience of time this wine will age gracefully and soften even more for up to 12 years plus.
Serving advice
Easily can be opened and drunk straight away, or will also develop if left to breathe for 30 min before consuming
Food match
We love this wine with a simple cheese plate with a strong aged cheddar, muscatels, fig paste and gorgonzola. Or with a beautiful BBQ steak and killer homemade potato salad.

Meet the winemaker - Nina Stocker & Kate Day
Nina Stocker and Kate Day are multi award-winning winemakers whose lives have been inextricably linked since they became besties at Uni. They've since chalked up more than 30 years combined experience in some of the greatest and most historic winemaking regions on the planet in France, Italy, the US, Portugal, NZ and here in Aus.
Nina became Chief Winemaker for Catalina Sounds, Crowded House and Nanny Goat in NZ, scoring the prized Air New Zealand Trophy for Best Sauvignon Blanc. Kate was winemaker at the esteemed Willunga-100 winery in McLaren Vale when two of her wines were finalists in the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy. But creating a wine label together was their elusive dream.
It finally became a reality the day they knocked on the door of Naked HQ. Within minutes of trying their wines and realising what a truly formidable team these two made, the Two Pairs deal was done and dusted. And the name Two Pairs? A chance meeting at Kate’s wedding where Nina meet, and then married, the best man - Kate’s husband's identical twin brother. Thus creating... two pairs!
