Spanish passion meets Naked innovation
- Here it is, the first ever Carignan varietal based wine to hit the Australian website! Your Angel dollars only ever fund local Australian and New Zealand winemakers to do their thing. This time around, our Naked cousins in the UK wanted to send over something special from their independent collection for us to try, how very kind.
- Franck has been making top class wines in Priorat, the true home of Carignan, throughout his incredible career at the top of the European wine scene. He then recognised potential in the neighbouring appellation of Montsant, at a fraction of the price. Same soil, same climate, same grape, and even more freedom to create wine the best way he knows how without corporate constraints.
- It's a smooth and warm feeling number with plenty of Iberian character, think herbs and red fruits. With a few years in the bottle already, this is undoubtedly a Naked treat. Crack open this winter warmer with someone special!

Serving advice
Serve at around 16-18°C. Open to breathe 30 minutes before serving.
Food match
This wine will work beautifully with your favourite mix of Tapas dishes. Try flank steak with goats cheese, yum! The wine is also light enough to pair with chicken or veal.

Meet the winemaker - Franck Massard
- Top Sommelier turned winemaker, our Spanish master Franck was voted by UK Angels as Winemaker of the Year 2013.
- The Monstant he's sent over especially for Aussie Angels to try is the direct result of his outstanding popularity with UK Angels. He used the prize money to create his dream project, and unsurprisingly chas reated some incredibly juicy goodness to send sparks flying among Red wine lovers!
- Franck's incredible raw talent combined with the freedom of his Angel backing allows him to twist modern winemaking methods in with his innate regional knowledge. The result? A new stratosphere of Spanish wine quality, delivered to your door at prices that can't be matched. Ah...yes please!
