About the wine
Great value, elegant Shiraz in limited numbers
- It’s back - for the first time since 2018! Hunter local Ash has sourced these small-batch Shiraz grapes from a traditional non-organic vineyard in Upper Hunter on the banks of the old Merton Village.
- A cool vintage in 2021, careful handling and 11 months in French oak barrels has produced a delicate, elegant style of Shiraz. From your first taste you’ll discover its cheeky raspberry and cherry characters with subtle spices and savoury tannins.
- This is a limited edition Shiraz, not often made, and only available here at Naked Wines. It won’t last long on - either on the shelves or in your glass!
Best before
5-8 years. As it ages the savoury tannins will soften and the sweeter fruit characters will come out.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Ashley Horner
- Born and bred in the Upper Hunter Valley, Ash worked in local vineyards while helping to establish his Family Vineyard.
- He's one of the most passionate people we've ever met! When asked what he loved most about his job, his answer was "Everything! I love the action during vintage and the progression of grapes becoming a bottle to enjoy. I love the diversity and the abstract thinking you can put into creating a wine product. I also love the diversity of the people that work in the industry and how winemaking makes me feel complete in my life".
- What's the difference between Ash and the rest? His grapes are from organic vineyards and are made using fully certified organic practices!
