About the wine
Crisp, sophisticated WA Chardy
- A very limited edition WA Chardy from the blokes that bring you Scribe. 2020 yields were low across the board, making for intense fruity flavours and excellent quality.
- The Chardonnay was picked during the cool night to help lock in the fruit flavours. It’s been fermented and matured in French oak for 8 months and held back from malolactic fermentation so it’s zippy rather than buttery.
- Grab yourself a glass of its nectarine, honeydew and citrus vibe with just a suggestion of toast. It’s crisp, elegant and long-lasting on the tongue, if not in your glass!
Best before
This wine was designed to drink in its youth, but its bright acidity will keep it feeling fresh for 1-3 years.
Serving advice
I personally like to take my Chardonnay out of the fridge 5 minutes before I want to drink it, when it is chilled but not too cold you get the most out of Chardonnay.
Food match
Fantastic paired with local Augusta dhufish, grilled. Yum!

Meet the winemaker - Ralph, Paul & Rory The Companions
- Halliday awarded duo Paul Byron & Ralph Dunning have persuaded Naked Winemaker Rory Clifton-Parks to join them in the sheds – and we’re so excited!
- Hailing from WA, Rory has been making wine for 15 years now, and has long been an Angel favourite, so the collaboration was a no-brainer for Paul & Ralph.
- Between them, these legends have 80 years’ experience, covering all aspects of the Aussie wine trade. With that kind of street cred, you can bet the wines won’t disappoint.
