Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Smooth Coonawarra classic, aged to perfection
- Coonawarra Cabernet is world renowned for its exceptional quality, and this is a prime example from Luke’s Northern Coonawarra vineyard. He's upheld his long term goal of only releasing his Top Shelf Cabernet once aged to perfection for 2 years in French oak.
-
Softer and fruit-driven, the cellaring has been done for you. Just sit back and enjoy its rich blackberry and plum flavours with a hit of savoury spice and mint. It's a smooth sip with chalky tannins and hint of oak on the long, lingering finish.
- The value simply can't be matched elsewhere and stocks will fly once again. Make no mistake, this is one delicious drop you'll want to snaffle!
Best before
The warmer year and more fruit in the wine will help it age gracefully for the next 10 years. Put some down in the cellar and open a bottle a year until you like it the most.
Serving advice
As with wines with a bit of age, decanting and serving at room temperatue are the key to releasing some of those fantastic flavours
Food match
Any kind of locally sources lamb dish. I helped a friend out over vintage and he brought me a whole lamb for the freezer to say thanks. I might try out some nice lamb cutlets with this wine tonight.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Luke Tocaciu
Born and raised in Coonawarra, SA, Luke makes sensational wines that shout of his 'terra rossa' region, injecting his own vision and personality along the way. He's won numerous awards including 7 trophies, dozens of phenomenal Halliday ratings and a place in the Top 50 Young Guns of Wine.
As a kid, he earned his pocket money helping out in the family vineyards. It wasn’t long before he was bitten by the wine bug, and a degree plus vintages in South Australia and Sonoma (USA) soon followed. Ready to make his mark, he returned to the family business to develop drops alongside his Dad, local legend Patrick.
But in 2013, Patrick suddenly passed away, leaving the family bereaved and the winery without its chief winemaker and CEO. Not even 30 yet, Luke had to shoulder a ton of extra responsibility if the business was to continue. So Angels stepped in and gave Luke the assurance to continue his family legacy and keep making the wine he loves - which he does to this day.
