Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Hot-off-the-press Chardonnay from Paul Nelson!
- If you’re looking for exceptional quality when it comes to Chardonnay, this new release is for you. It’s made from one of the best vineyards in the Great Southern, where a wine of this calibre would fetch over $50 a pop!
- This Chardonnay is elegant and expressive, with beautiful fruit purity. Think lush stone fruits, apple and pear flavours, all intertwined with subtle toasty oak. Zesty citrus is rounded out by creamy melted butter and a mineral finish.
- A wine like this will age beautifully for up to 10 years. Our advice? Grab a whole bunch now - enjoy some straight away, and put some down for a while.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Paul Nelson
Growing up on a vineyard, Paul thought was destined to be a grower, but a study trip to France changed all that. The history, passion and romance of winemaking lit a fire in his belly and he changed course. A winemaking degree and vintages around the world followed, as he honed his delicious craft.
In 2009, he took the leap out on his own, and within 4 years had bought the oldest winery in Denmark, WA. His sublime wines raised eyebrows in esteemed wine circles and earned him a Top 10 Best New Wineries listing. But his volumes were small - he needed more grapes and a bigger audience. In short, he needed Naked Wines.
And so in 2015, Paul came on board and went from producing just 40 cases of sensational handmade wine to thousands as Angels clamoured for more. He’s now grown big enough to add one of the oldest vineyards in Mt Barker to his fold (signalling more Nelson goodies to come!).
