Market Price
Angels save money compared to Market Price...
Our market price is what you’d actually have to pay for this wine at an old-fashioned retail store.
It’s based on the price of similarly rated benchmark bottles on the market.
We test these market prices every vintage with blind tasting panels, to make sure they’re honest and accurate.
If you buy one of our wines and disagree with the Angel Price, we’ll add a credit to your account.

About the wine
Perfect Pinot from 56-year-old vines
- This limited release Pinot Noir from WA’s Mount Barker area was made from 56-year-old vines – from one of the most prestigious and highly sought-after vineyards in Australia. So you know what that means… a wine of exceptional flavour, depth and finesse.
- Lifted black cherry, star anise, black olive and spicy cedar aromas will entice you into the glass, and rich, concentrated flavours of dark plum, forest floor and dried herbs will keep you coming back for more.
- Paul believes this Pinot would stand up proudly against any Burgundy Premier Cru, and we reckon he’s right. It’s delicious now, but will be at its prime in 3-5 years, and has the potential to age up to 15 years if carefully cellared.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Paul Nelson
Growing up on a vineyard, Paul thought was destined to be a grower, but a study trip to France changed all that. The history, passion and romance of winemaking lit a fire in his belly and he changed course. A winemaking degree and vintages around the world followed, as he honed his delicious craft.
In 2009, he took the leap out on his own, and within 4 years had bought the oldest winery in Denmark, WA. His sublime wines raised eyebrows in esteemed wine circles and earned him a Top 10 Best New Wineries listing. But his volumes were small - he needed more grapes and a bigger audience. In short, he needed Naked Wines.
And so in 2015, Paul came on board and went from producing just 40 cases of sensational handmade wine to thousands as Angels clamoured for more. He’s now grown big enough to add one of the oldest vineyards in Mt Barker to his fold (signalling more Nelson goodies to come!).
