Scribe by Paul & Ralph Barossa Valley Cabernet Shiraz 2016
About the wine
A beautiful example of an iconic Aussie wine
- It’s not often a perfectly aged big red like this comes along! Winemakers Paul & Ralph have ‘been there, done that’ with some of the most admired wineries in the land and have 65-odd years of combined experience.
- Premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz grapes from the Barossa and Eden Valley regions went into this deliciously aged example of a premium Barossa Cab Shiraz.
- It’s packed with heady flavours of ripe redcurrants and dark juicy plums. You should be able to pick up a floral note as you open the bottle too. Fabulous tannins will grip and linger on your tongue — and you’ll love it for it!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Paul Byron & Ralph Dunning
-
Paul and Ralph came on board in 2019, bringing a combined 65 years experience with some of the most admired wineries in the land. They’d made the big leap out on their own a few years before — their exquisite wines catching the attention of top wine critics right away. In 2015 they were awarded a Halliday 5-Star Rating and Top 10 New Wineries listing.
-
But it’s one thing to make award-winning wine and another thing entirely to get it into the hands of people who’ll love it. That’s where Naked swooped in and connected them to wine-loving Angels across the land. “Getting Naked means we don’t have to go through the normal wholesale and retail gatekeepers before we get real feedback on what we are crafting,” explains Ralph.
-
Their partnership is proof there is no substitute for experience - across every touch of their wine. The two are focused on creating wines that are truly authentic to their variety and where they were grown.
