Sensational Mid Strength White for Summer
- You’ve seen the Mid Strength trend taking the wine world by storm. Now is your chance to jump on board Naked’s first foray into the world of Mid Strength drops! This one comes courtesy of the delightful Sam Plunkett.
- At 7.5% ABV, this Mid Strength Butterfly Effect Sauvignon Blanc 2023 started life in the normal way. It then went through a reverse osmosis process to remove some of the alcohol. Sam & the team did extensive research into the Mid Strength space, so you can rest assured he’s perfected the craft.
- Sam recommends drinking this drop as a youngster, so you can make the most of its classic Sauvignon Blanc flavours & aromas. Hungry? This will be a delight with your summer salad menu.

Serving advice
Drink it cool but not too cold (straight out of the fridge and some of the flavours will be subdued). If there is an idea temperature, I'll say 10C.
Food match
I think a feature of these Mid Strength wines is that they can be an enjoyable refreshing drink on their own. But to match with food, I think the herbal/grassy character makes it a good match with any simple leafy salad. Or perhaps prawns off the barbie and you can think of the Sauvignon Blanc with its fresh acid as the squeeze of lemon over the prawns!

Meet the winemaker - Sam Plunkett
- Winemaking legend Sam sources grapes from the family vineyard in the Strathbogie ranges of Central Victoria. Winemakers don't come much more in love with their job than him - he'd "happily spend everyday around tanks, barrels, stainless steel toys and wine".
He’s had a meteoric rise from self-taught winemaker to a multi award-winner and even has his own cellar door now! His winery was recently recognised as one of the Top 10 Dark Horse wineries in James Halliday's 2021 Awards.
The backing of thousands of Naked Angels has helped pave the way for Sam to continue making the great wine he loves, exclusively for you!
