Byron & Harold The Companions Chenin Blanc 2023
About the wine
Crisp, zesty Margaret River white
- Hailing from the Northern Margaret River, this crisp white has buckets of flavour and shows off excellent varietal flavour and lots of natural acidity.
- Fermentation in a combination of stainless steel and French oak barriques was followed by 6 months quiet maturation. The result is a wine packed with zingy fruit - pear drop, honeysuckle, green apple, tropical fruit and citrus with a touch of almond brioche.
- A lovely fresh white from the blokes that also bring you Scribe reds. It's another great new wine for their Companions range at a super sippable price!
Best before
due to the fresh acidity, it will age and gain complexity for another 5 years +
Serving advice
no copper has been added to this wine to retain the flinty simple sulphide production during fermentation and whilst ageing on lees. The wine will continue to open up while consuming.
Food match

Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Ralph, Paul & Rory The Companions
- Halliday awarded duo Paul Byron & Ralph Dunning have persuaded Naked Winemaker Rory Clifton-Parks to join them in the sheds – and we’re so excited!
- Hailing from WA, Rory has been making wine for 15 years now, and has long been an Angel favourite, so the collaboration was a no-brainer for Paul & Ralph.
- Between them, these legends have 80 years’ experience, covering all aspects of the Aussie wine trade. With that kind of street cred, you can bet the wines won’t disappoint.
