Enfant Terrible Leve Tot Grenache 2021
About the wine
Only the Early Bird will catch this unique little red!
- French for 'early bird', JP chose the name to reflect this wine's early release. It's a drier, lighter-bodied style with candied fruit flavours and a touch of musk.
- JP’s 4 years making wine in the warm, irrigated Riverland of SA are the inspiration behind this drop. Made from Grenache grapes grown in the heat of that climate, it's a wonderful lighter wine style when picked early.
- This wine doesn’t need lashings of oak, skin tannins and hot ferments. Just the silky skills of a seasoned winemaker with already perfect little grapes, and another Naked gem is born.
Best before
To be enjoyed young.
Serving advice
One of the best things about this wine is how it shines brightly when itÂ’s served slightly cooled or just off our high summer room temperatures. Just 10 minutes at the front of the fridge. LetÂ’s face it, most Aussies drink our whites too cold and our reds too hot.
Food match
Now winter time is a different story. This little beauty has enough body to satisfy lovers of concentrated reds and has enough fruit grunt to cope with hearty winter fare. Bring on the Osso BuccoÂ… an open fire... a bear skin rugÂ…Â… and a James Bond movie.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - James-Paul Marin
- JP’s stellar career reaches back to 2000, but he almost walked away when corporate constraints became too much. Now, given a second chance by Angels, he’s walking to the beat of his own drum while crafting the boutique, cool-climate wines he loves.
- Extensive experience in the industry means JP has forged strong relationships that help him secure grapes from award-winning Aussie vineyards. Without being tied to one location, he’s able to select premium fruit that ensures every Enfant Terrible drop reflects the best that its vintage has to offer.
- As environmental advocate, JP handcrafts his wines using minimal intervention and sustainable techniques. Through SeedTheChange, he plants a tree for every case of wine sold – a mission that’s brilliant for Angels and for the Earth!
