About the wine
Intricate aromatic Wrattonbully white
- Here’s a perfect example of small batch winemaking, using different techniques, a lot of care and fruit sourced from the Hooper’s biodynamic vineyard on red Wrattonbully soils.
- A portion of this wine went into a concrete egg to develop. The unique shape creates a constant temperature and circulation for the wine and lees (dead yeast) inside the tank, creating a more complex and interesting glassful.
- Get ready for a festival of pear and apple with a whiff of walnuts and honeysuckle. By using different winemaking techniques, Derek and the gang believe they’ve brought you a fun and unique drop of white. Try it and let them know if they're correct!

Serving advice
This is a very versatile wine that would satisfy most palates. The perfect wine for any occasion; Lunch, dinner, or Happy Hour!
Food match
With this wineÂ’s complexity and aromas, it pairs beautifully with fish dishes, but donÂ’t let that stop you from trying it with other things! A good plate of pasta or a mixed cheese board would pair just as well. The delicate pear and apple notes would be complimented perfectly with a blue or fermented cheese. Why not try it with rich fatty foods and see how its natural acidity cleanses your palate? Every glass of this wine calls for the next!

Meet the winemaker - Derek Hooper
Hooper & Co’s wines echo the pristine land they come from, the local community and pushing wine boundaries (Derek’s speciality!)
Derek’s son, Harry, splits his time between winemaking and brewing. Daughter Grace is already elbow deep in grape juice, and Daisy is a marketing specialist in the industry.
From father Kym’s first vineyard back in 1992, through Derek, to his fresh-faced, eager charges, they are one of the new families of wine. And they’re out to stir up your palate with fantastic drops with sustainability at their core.
