About the wine
Not too heavy, and not too light - it's just right!
- Chardonnay is Jen's Mum's favourite wine, so the pressure was on to create an exceptional drop! The challenge was well met with this beautiful example that punches well above its weight. Without any malolactic fermentation to leave its buttery kiss, it's a more modern spin on Chardonnay.
- Made from grapes from Jen's family vineyard, it's a delicate yet fruity white, packed with citrus characters and subtle toasty oak. Wonderful aromas and flavours of golden delicious apples, peaches and rockmelon give way to a soft, long finish.
- Jen pulled out all the stops for this Rebel, fermenting it in tank, barrel and even terracotta eggs - a ton of work and passion for the craft that's hard to find at this price. It's a little Naked miracle, thanks to you!
Best before
My Rebel Chardonnay is so enjoyable now, and it will develop fuller, toastier characters if carefully cellared through to 2027.
Serving advice
I recommend serving my Rebel Chardonnay 2023 straight from the fridge or the ice bucket in the warmer months, but don’t be afraid to let it warm up slightly in the cooler months, with a serving temperature of 10-12°C. It can be opened and consumed with gusto immediately!
Food match
My Rebel Chardonnay 2023 is wonderful with seafood or white meat dishes. Try a lemon and chicken risotto or garlic prawns.
It is also wonderful with steamed salmon with herbs; or spaghetti cacio e pepe.
